For more than a century, winter sports enthusiasts from all over the world have been drawn to Lech Zürs am Arlberg. The Arlberg region is known far beyond Austria’s borders for snow, hospitality and tradition, which is why Lech Zürs is one of the twelve exquisite member villages of “Best of the Alps.” Here, sports enthusiasts will get more than their money’s worth in the fantastic winter landscape. And yet the winter season, which lasts from 30 November 2018 to 28 April 2019, also has plenty in store for leisure-minded walkers, gourmets and culture enthusiasts too.
Skiing on Arlberg
The Ski Arlberg Card is your key to 305 kilometres of ski runs and 200 kilometres of high-Alpine powder runs. “Snow guaranteed on the Arlberg” means snowy conditions until April. We can therefore guarantee skiing pleasure in Austria’s largest contiguous ski area. The attractive and varied leisure activities on offer make the ski resort the ideal home for discerning winter guests from all over the world. Skiers aren’t the only ones who will enjoy the snowy slopes: Sledges, mini-bobs, snowshoes or cross-country skis have long been part of the daily fun with the Arlberg Card.
Zip down the slope on a sledge or toboggan, alone or in pairs. Enjoy a small adventure with a group of friends on a mini-bob then spend a cosy evening in a mountain hut. Small wonder that so many winter sports enthusiasts spend their winter holidays in Lech Zürs: 200 km of high-Alpine powder snow makes Lech Zürs the ideal place for freeriding and freeskiing. Moreover, Lech Zürs is the only ski resort in Austria that offers heliskiing on a remote summit to freeriders, freeskiers and snowboarders. Led by a trained ski guide, descend back into the valley across a landscape of pristine powder snow.
