Safety is the top priority when freeriding

Before you begin, please bear in mind the following points. It is important to know the terrain well and only to enter Alpine terrain with the appropriate experience, information (avalanche report) and equipment (ABS backpack, avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe, first aid kit, etc.). For an incomparable freeride experience, we therefore always recommend that you book a local professional guide. More information about safety is available HERE.

What should I bear in mind when freeriding & touring?

It is important to enter Alpine terrain only with the requisite experience and the proper safety equipment. A central component of this equipment kit is the avalanche transceiver. An avalanche probe, for finding those covered by an avalanche with pinpoint accuracy, must ideally be included in any ABS avalanche backpack! The latter will ideally prevent one from being covered by an avalanche! A sturdy avalanche shovel should always be carried so that buried people can be rescued as quickly as possible. Additionally, a complete first aid kit with plasters, bandages, gauze and butterfly closures is a must in your touring backpack. Have a look at the picture for an overview of the packing list!
