Forests and protected areas
There are many forest and wildlife reserves in the Ski Arlberg ski area. Respect your boundaries is the motto. There are signs on the piste map indicating which areas are off limits.
Lech Zürs am Arlberg is known worldwide as a paradise for freeriders and ski tourers. To ensure that the natural environment, to which we owe so much, remains intact, we are proud of our protected areas and natural spaces, which may not be entered or driven on. We therefore ask you to respect the forest zones and protected areas in order to leave these refuges to nature and the animals that live there.
Thank you for helping to preserve our natural treasures.
This requires not only a love of nature, but also sensitivity, respect and vision for the big picture.
Wildlife rest areas
Wild animals need to be able to retreat to quieter areas, especially in winter. During these months, they need peace and quiet in order to conserve as much energy as possible and survive the cold season. We therefore ask you to respect the wildlife rest areas marked on the piste map and on information signs. The wildlife rest areas and forest protection zones are also clearly marked on the Interactive panorama map of Ski Arlberg!
