Mountain experience on the activity mountain

Activity mountain Schlegelkopf-Petersboden

Step out of the mountain station and search the panorama for the famous peaks in the sunshine. They are always there. The hiking trails also promise unique experiences and are up to the challenge each and every time.

A Summer must-do!

Have you been to Schlegelkopf-Petersboden?

On foot or on a mountain bike, the acitivty mountain offers adventures for the entire family including trail fun for mountain bikers or hikes in the Tannberg region. The Lech mountain summer on the adventure trail begins with an ascent of the Bergbahn Oberlech cable car and Petersboden chairlift.

Hiking with the entire family

Natural paradise

Oberlech (Burgplateau), aka Lech’s sun terrace, invites you to relax and daydream. The newly built Bergbahn Oberlech cable car takes you comfortably up to the sunny plateau of Oberlech, the starting point of the Petersboden chairlift. Once at the top station, you can reach the Kriegeralpe Alpine hut in approx. 15 minutes. This is an ideal starting point for hikes to higher altitudes such as the Kriegerhorn, Mohnenfluh or the Karhorn mountains. A hike through the Gipslöcher nature reserve is also interesting for children and teens. A geological nature trail shows the origin of the Doline landscape. In addition, the geocaching trail “Gipt’s das?” was created around this hike.

Programme for families in nature

Oberlech is the starting point for numerous hikes from the Green Ring to the Tannberg. Further easily accessible attractions are the new themed trail in Oberlech “Arlenzauber – Natur am Arlberg,” the 3D archery course, the Libellensee lake and the Green Riddle Ring, which guarantees family hiking fun with its own puzzle book. Those who have successfully solved the puzzles will be rewarded with a small gift on the Rud-Alpe. The water playground and giant trampoline for children, located directly at the Rud-Alpe, are the ideal places to let off steam. The petting zoo is also an exciting attraction and features giant rabbits, dwarf goats and miniature pigs. You can also rent a handcart from the Bergbahn Oberlech cable car company.

Burgwald Bike Trail

From the Petersboden top station, the first freeride course in Vorarlberg – the Burgwald Trail – can be conquered on a mountain bike. The bike trail has a height drop of more than 500 metres, to the valley station of the Oberlech cable car, and offers fun for freeriding beginners and ambitious mountain bikers
