From picturesque Stuben, the gateway to the Arlberg, the route takes you along Dorfstraße, over a forest path, past the E-Trail Park, and towards Flexental. Shortly after the Mondscheinhütte (not open to the public), you cross the Flexenbach stream and the trail becomes briefly steeper on the Franz Josef Weg towards the Flexenpass. During the tour, you can enjoy fantastic views of Stuben, located at an altitude of 1,407 m. Soon you will reach the European watershed on the trail next to the Flexenpass. The hiking trail runs slightly downhill towards Zürs. After a short walk through the village, you will reach the Seekopfbahn cable car at the end of the village. This will take you up to 2,212 m. Up here, you will not only be rewarded with a fantastic view of Lake Zürs, but also with an excellent opportunity to refresh yourself at the Seekopf Panorama Restaurant. After Lake Zürs, the trail climbs steeply uphill until it reaches a small, very quiet cotton grass plain. Then follow the last few meters of elevation gain up to the Madlochjoch at 2,450 m. From there, follow the trail of the Weisser Ring, famous in winter, over rocks and alpine meadows with a view of Lech am Arlberg and down the valley via the Gstütalpe. Before the end of this stage, the beautiful view of Lech am Arlberg, located at 1,450 m, is particularly impressive.
