Tips for travelling in summer
There are good train connections to Arlberg from Austria, Germany and Switzerland – as well as from Zurich and Innsbruck airports.
Travelling by car
Travel on Austrian motorways is subject to a toll. You can buy toll stickers from border crossings, petrol stations, at tobacconists, from Austrian automobile clubs or from Lech Zürs Tourism. The currently applicable prices for toll stickers can always be found at asfinag.at/toll/toll-sticker.
All the hotels and guest houses in Lech and Zürs provide adequate parking facilities for their guests. As well as parking in their underground garages and car parks, you can also park in public car parks.:
- Rüfiplatz parking garage (subject to payment)
- Mühle parking garage (subject to payment only in winter)
- Anger parking garage (subject to payment)
- Schlosskopf Daytime Car Park (subject to payment)
Toll road Zugertal
The valley to the Zugertal (Formarinsee and Spullersee) is closed for private traffic from 8.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Toll: € 15,00 for car / motorcycle during operating times. No admission for busses or coaches - please make use of the local bus service. Passengers who travel with the local bus to the Zugertal valley without the Lech Card are required to pay toll charges.
