Relaxed arrivals – skip the traffic and leave the car behind

Start your holiday stress-free and without traffic jams – travel to the stunning alpine world of Lech Zürs by train. The region is exceptionally well-connected thanks to the excellent rail infrastructure surrounding the Arlberg. Whether you're coming from near or far, frequent regional and long-distance train services to the nearby stations of Langen am Arlberg and St. Anton am Arlberg make your journey both flexible and environmentally friendly. From either station, it's just a short, scenic transfer to Lech Zürs:

  • Langen am Arlberg Station – only 15 km from Lech Zürs | Regular bus (Line 750) and taxi services available | Approx. transfer time: 20 minutes
     
  • St. Anton am Arlberg Station – 20 km from Lech Zürs | Regular bus (Line 760) and taxi services available | Approx. transfer time: 30 minutes
     
  • We recommend booking a taxi in advance. You are also welcome to check with your accommodation whether there is a pick-up service from the railway station.

With seamless connections and breathtaking views along the way, arriving by train is the perfect start to your alpine adventure in Lech Zürs.

Arriving by Train – Easy Access from Switzerland, Austria & Germany

Let your holiday begin the moment you board the train – with convenient, scenic, and eco-friendly rail connections from across Central Europe to the heart of the Austrian Alps.

 

From Switzerland:
Travel from Zurich every two hours, with a journey time of approximately 3 hours from Zurich Airport.

 

From Germany:
Trains from Munich depart every two hours, reaching the Arlberg region in approximately 3,5 hours. There are also good connections from other railway stations throughout Germany.

 

From Austria:
There are hourly direct trains from Vienna to both Langen and St. Anton am Arlberg, with a travel time of around 6 hours.


ICE – Ski Express Arlberg: A direct ICE connection from Hamburg via Munich to Langen am Arlberg offers a comfortable and relaxed journey to the Arlberg region on weekends from 19 December 2025 to 5 April 2026.

The last Mile Connection

From the train stations in Langen am Arlberg and St. Anton am Arlberg, the final leg of your journey to Lech Zürs is easy and comfortable. 

Hop on Bus Line 750 (from Langen) or Bus Line 760 (from St. Anton) – or opt for one of the many private shuttle services that offer direct, affordable transfers right to your accommodation in Lech Zürs. Ask at your accommodation as well – they may offer a pick-up service.
