Lech and Zürs are located in the Arlberg region at an altitude of around 1,450 meters. The historic Flexen Gallery, part of the Lechtal road (L 198), leads to Zürs and Lech via the Flexen Pass road. During the summer months, Lech Zürs can also be reached from Warth. Please check the current road report for updates.
Thanks to the two train stations in St. Anton am Arlberg and Langen am Arlberg, as well as public transport connections, arrival is also possible without your own car. Connections are also available to Zurich, Munich, Memmingen, Stuttgart, and Innsbruck airports.
Once on site, many destinations can be reached comfortably without a car. The blue local buses connect the different parts of the village and numerous starting points for activities.

Getting Around Locally
Whether you arrive comfortably by public transport or leave your car in the garage — in Lech Zürs, you can get around the region without your own vehicle from day one. Many hotels, holiday flats and chalets are located centrally or right at the starting points for hikes, cable cars and activities, so you'll be getting there on foot anyway. For everywhere else, the blue local bus reliably connects Lech, Zürs, Oberlech and the surrounding hamlets, and can be used free of charge with your guest card.

Frequently Asked Questions: Getting to Lech Zürs am Arlberg
Getting to Lech Zürs without a car is easy by train to the stations of St. Anton am Arlberg or Langen am Arlberg; from there, taxis, shuttle buses, or scheduled buses take you directly on to Lech or Zürs. You don't need your own car for the journey or your stay in the Arlberg, since the local bus handles mobility on site.
The nearest airports for traveling to Lech Zürs are Innsbruck and Zurich, followed by Munich and Memmingen. All four airports are well connected to the Arlberg by rental car, taxi, or shuttle service, with travel time varying depending on the airport.
The Flexen Pass Road (L 198) between the Tyrolean Arlberg region and Lech Zürs is generally open all year round and is the main access route to Lech Zürs in winter. Between 1 November and 15 April, winter tyres are a legal requirement in winter road conditions. Depending on the weather and road conditions, snow chains may be made compulsory on a temporary basis. Please check the latest road report for information on road conditions and any possible closures before travelling.
In summer, Lech Zürs can be reached via the road from Warth as well as via the Flexen Pass road. In winter, this route is generally closed due to the risk of avalanches. If snow and avalanche conditions permit, the road may be opened temporarily. Please therefore always check the latest road report for information on current road conditions.
No, you don’t need your own car whilst staying in Lech Zürs. In winter, many hotels, holiday flats and chalets are situated right next to the slopes in a ‘ski-in, ski-out’ style, so you’ll be walking to the lift anyway. In summer, numerous walking routes start right on your doorstep, and hiking buses take you comfortably to more distant starting points and mountain huts in the Arlberg mountains.
For all other journeys, the blue local bus provides a reliable service connecting Lech, Zürs, Oberlech and the surrounding hamlets – included in your ski pass in winter and in the Lech Card in summer.
