A real Lecherin and ski racer
Leonie Zegg comes from Lech Zürs am Arlberg. She was at home on skis from an early age – she was particularly fascinated by free skiing on off-piste slopes, deep snow, and moguls, which still reminds her today of where the fun of skiing comes from. She turned to racing between the ages of 10 and 11, and the foundations for her career were laid at the Stams Ski Gymnasium.
Today, at the age of 20, she is a member of the B squad (EC 3) and regularly competes in the European Cup. She achieved her first podium finish in the European Cup in January 2025 in Zauchensee, when she came third in the downhill race. At the 2025 Junior World Championships in Tarvisio, she secured the silver medal in the super-G and also finished a strong fourth in the downhill. Her declared goal is to make the leap to the World Cup via European Cup points or by securing one of the three fixed places in the European Cup overall standings.
We at Lech Zürs Tourism are proud...
