Best places to take a photo of the Omeshorn
Even though the Omeshorn is clearly visible from everywhere, there are of course a few places from which you can take the most beautiful pictures of the Omeshorn. One of the best spots is right in the center of Lech—on the bridge between Sporthaus Strolz and Hotel Arlberg. In addition, the district of “Spitzenegg” towards Oberlech, as well as Flühenweg near Bernhards stable, are also ideal for taking the perfect souvenir photo of the Omeshorn.

The Omeshorn is located in the center of the Lech Zürs am Arlberg vacation region. It's no wonder that there is a circuit around Lech's local mountain in both winter and summer. In winter, our guests circle the Omeshorn on the most legendary ski circuit in the Alps – the "Weiße Ring". In summer, they walk around the 2,557-meter-high mountain peak on the "Grünen Ring".

At 2,557 meters above sea level, the summit of the Omeshorn towers 1,100 meters above the resort of Lech am Arlberg. This difference in altitude makes the mountain appear so imposing from the valley. No other mountain is as close to Lech.
How long does a hike to the Omeshorn take?
Depending on your fitness level, the tour to the Omeshorn takes 2 to 3 hours from Lech. In total, it takes up to 6 hours to complete the hike.
How difficult is a hike to the Omeshorn?
The Omeshorn is perhaps so special because not everyone can reach its summit. An ascent to the Omeshorn is only recommended for experienced hikers with a head for heights. Sure-footedness is also necessary. The tour is not recommended after heavy rainfall, as the path to the summit can be very muddy.

There are no places to stop for refreshments along the hike to the Omeshorn. This means it is best to take a good summit snack with you and enjoy the view of Lech am Arlberg.
