Seekopf mountain restaurant

Arlberg pioneering spirit! 


More than 60 years ago, on 23 December 1957, the Seekopf lift was opened as a double chairlift. In 1978, the famous Seekopf mountain restaurant was built and operated from a previously existing snack bar.

A char filet salad from Zug with oven-fresh pastries, a Montafon barley soup, a vegan vegetable lasagna, pasta specialities or our speciality, the original Vorarlberg cheese spaetzle in the "Holzgebse" and much more we conjure up every day in winter on your plate.

With heart and soul mountain gastronomy, from person to person.

Shared meals - not just nourishment - but food for the soul


Social distancing has been and still is the order of the day. But humans are social beings – shared meals among company, friends, and acquaintances strengthen cohesion. All of this can contribute to a good coexistence and help in overcoming the current challenges more easily. Moreover, shared meals create space for communication. Throughout the summer, everyone pursues their own activities, but at the village table, everyone comes together. Then it's time and opportunity to talk, share experiences, exchange wishes, address problems, and seek solutions.


Our 12-meter-long table – made of Lech spruce – heated and covered outdoors serves not only as a small summer restaurant but also as a village table.


Locals/Friends Guest Chefs at the Village Table - cook their favorite recipes - it should be uncomplicated - everyone eats together at the big village table - food is served from generous bowls - like at a big family meal. Everyone is responsible for ensuring that the person to their left and right always has a full plate and a well-filled glass. Every week on Mondays, the summer restaurant has a special theme. In order to accommodate as many locals and guests as possible at the table and allow them to be "Guests at the Village Table," many even bring their own chairs. A simple dish will be cooked, and suitable wines, water & coffee are included. What makes it special is WHO cooks. For here, locals get the chance to showcase their creative culinary skills.
