Price: € 47 including a Veuve Clicquot breakfast at the Schlegelkopf Restaurant (only in combination with a valid ski pass)

Meeting point: 7.30 am at the lower station of the Rüfikopf cableway

To book: ski pass centre (Rüfikopf cash point) on the previous day up to 5 pm (+43 5583 2824 215)

Prerequisite: Safe parallel turns on black pistes

General Information: Owing to the limited number of participants, registration in advance is required. The offer is subject to appropriate snow conditions and weather throughout the season.

Der Weiße Ring - Das Rennen

The White Ring links the Lech, Zürs and Zug ski resorts on fantastic pistes in a spectacular setting. On 22 kilometers and more than 5,500 meters of altitude more than 1000 participants compete every year anew. And it's not just about being fast on the slopes. The time is not stopped also during the altogether 8 elevator travels. 20 athletes go together on the track and try to master the White Ring as fast as possible. Olympic champion and world champion Patrick Ortlieb holds the course record with an incredible time of 44min 45sec.
Absolutely unique is the mixture of folk ski races and party atmosphere, which fascinates spectators and participants every year and creates a special atmosphere at the whole Arlberg. No matter whether you are a professional sportsman, ex-racing driver, hobby sprinter or pleasure skier, everyone can master the challenge The White Ring - The Race and be proud of his achievements.

The White Ring - The course
The course of the race runs along the legendary ski route and leads through the villages of Lech, Zürs and Zug. The race traditionally starts at Rüfikopf. Directional gates have been set up along the entire route, which must be adhered to until the end.

Laurentius Night and Solar Eclipse 2026 at Rüfikopf – Two celestial events in one day
On 12 August 2026, St. Lawrence's Night will once again invite visitors to enjoy a special natural spectacle above Lech Zürs. At an altitude of around 2,350 metres on the Rüfikopf, the clear mountain air and dark night offer ideal conditions for observing the peak of the Perseid meteor shower – an annual spectacle of shooting stars that leaves many small trails of light across the sky. This year, there will be another rare celestial phenomenon: in the early evening of 12 August, a partial solar eclipse will be visible above Lech Zürs – with approximately 90% coverage. Two natural events in one day, creating a special setting for a stay in the mountains. Details of the schedule and programme will be published here shortly.
