Gittis Restaurant at the Boutique-Hotel Schmelzhof
Anyone who visits Gitti's dining room will quickly hear the phrase: “Let's go eat at Jakob's.” No wonder – after years of training with top chefs such as Jeff Galvin, Thorsten Probost, and Heinz Reitbauer, Jakob Strolz has found his way back to the Schmelzhof. As head chef, he now stands for modern Alpine cuisine. His talent for cooking runs in the family: his mother Gitti and grandmother Mimi were also passionate cooks. Jakob inherited not only his love of good food from them, but also a sense of preservation and development. The menu features classics such as the legendary SCA pasta alongside creative new dishes – always with a clear focus on flavor. One highlight is the Chateaubriand, one of the restaurant's signature dishes: served on a hot stone and carved right at the table, it is an experience not to be missed at Gitti's dining room.
