Lech and Zürs are located in the Arlberg mountain region at an altitude of 1,450m. Connected to the Flexen Pass road (officially part of the Lechtalstrasse L198), Zürs and Lech are reached via the historic Flexen Gallery. During the summer months, Lech Zürs can also be reached from Warth. Please check the current road report for up-to-date information.
Thanks to the two railway stations at St. Anton am Arlberg and Langen am Arlberg, as well as a well-functioning public transport network, you can travel here comfortably without a car. There are also convenient connections to the surrounding airports of Zurich, Munich, Memmingen, STuttgart and Innsbruck. Once here, you'll enjoy the mountain scenery most relaxed and worry-free without a car, as mobility is well taken care of with the blue local buses.

Getting Around Locally
Whether you arrive comfortably by public transport or leave your car in the garage — in Lech Zürs, you can get around the region without your own vehicle from day one. Many hotels, holiday flats and chalets are located centrally or right at the starting points for hikes, cable cars and activities, so you'll be getting there on foot anyway. For everywhere else, the blue local bus reliably connects Lech, Zürs, Oberlech and the surrounding hamlets, and can be used free of charge with your guest card.

Getting to Lech Zürs without a car is easy by train to the stations of St. Anton am Arlberg or Langen am Arlberg; from there, taxis, shuttle buses, or scheduled buses take you directly on to Lech or Zürs. You don't need your own car for the journey or your stay in the Arlberg, since the local bus handles mobility on site.
The nearest airports for traveling to Lech Zürs are Innsbruck and Zurich, followed by Munich and Memmingen. All four airports are well connected to the Arlberg by rental car, taxi, or shuttle service, with travel time varying depending on the airport.
The Flexen Pass Road (L 198) between the Tyrolean Arlberg region and Lech Zürs is generally open all year round and is the main access route to Lech Zürs in winter. Between 1 November and 15 April, winter tyres are a legal requirement in winter road conditions. Depending on the weather and road conditions, snow chains may be made compulsory on a temporary basis. In summer, Lech Zürs can be reached via the road from Warth as well as via the Flexen Pass road. In winter, this route is generally closed due to the risk of avalanches. No, you don't need your own car during your stay in Lech Zürs: many hotels, apartments, and chalets are located right on the slopes in ski-in/ski-out style, so the way to the lift is on foot anyway.
