The Arlberg Trail is a challenging long-distance hiking trail that connects all five Arlberg villages: Lech, Zürs, Stuben, St. Christoph, and St. Anton. Divided into three stages and aided by cable cars, the trail covers a total of 40 km of hiking trails in spectacular alpine scenery. The signposted circular hiking trail covers a total length of 52 kilometers, almost a fifth of which is covered by cable cars. In total, it takes around 18 hours of walking and covers 6,038 meters of elevation gain. The ideal starting point is St. Anton, Lech, or Stuben, and the route should be walked clockwise so that the hiking sections and cable car rides fit together perfectly. Those who do not want to complete the entire circuit can also choose individual stages or easier alternative routes.
