Description

Urban landmark projects such as the Oslo Opera House not only create identity, but also places of identification for residents and visitors alike. Architecture, however, does not operate solely in an urban context. Can architecture also strengthen regional identity and the profile of tourist destinations?

In his lecture, Patrick Lüth, Partner at Snøhetta and Managing Director of the Innsbruck studio, reflects on examples from alpine and Nordic contexts to explore how architecture draws on and further develops local traditions, thereby contributing to the self-understanding of tourist destinations.
