Kunstvolle Winterimpulse in der Raiffeisenbank Lech
Raiffeisenbank Lech invites you to a special vernissage on Thursday, 18 December 2025, combining regional identity and poetic paper art.
Under the title ‘Ein Stück Heimat’ (A Piece of Home), Bregenzerwald artist Ulrike Maria Kleber presents powerful portraits of women that are deeply rooted in the tradition of ‘Juppo’ folk costumes. Her works tell of female strength, cultural continuity and the beauty of customs – realised in techniques such as acrylic, watercolour and printmaking. Kleber, trained as a photoengraving artist and artistically influenced by studies with renowned artists, knows how to condense the history and present of the Bregenzerwald into expressive images. Her female figures are silent heroines who embody life in the region and at the same time enable a modern view of tradition.
The exhibition is complemented by the poetic paper works of Hohenems-based graphic designer and artist Daniela Peter, who transforms texts into artistic formats under the label PAPIER&ICH. Her works – leporellos, text umbrellas, hanging texts and more – are produced in small series on recycled cardboard or textured paper with a honeycomb pattern. The texts are condensed thoughts, often in question form, sometimes rhyming, always with depth and a fine sense of language.
Peter designs, prints and produces all pieces himself in Hohenems and has been working freelance since 2012. His works invite you to pause, to give gifts and to live your own shining life – a purist textual pleasure for everyday life and special occasions.
