Laurentius Night and Solar Eclipse 2026 at Rüfikopf – Two Celestial Events on One Day

On August 12, 2026 Laurentius Night once again invites you to a special nature experience above Lech Zürs. At around 2,350 meters above sea level at Rüfikopf, the clear mountain air and dark night provide ideal conditions to observe the peak of the Perseid meteor shower – an annual celestial spectacle that draws many small streaks of light across the sky.

This year, another rare celestial phenomenon will occur: In the early evening of August 12, a partial solar eclipse can be seen over Lech Zürs – with an obscuration of about 90%. Two natural events on one day that create a special setting for a stay in the mountains.

19 Lech Musicians Day

During the Lech Musician Day, folk musicians and singers from the local area and beyond gather in Lech am Arlberg to transform the place into a festive sound cloud. It is a festival of encounter, exchange, and togetherness. It is time to make music and sing, bringing the richness and diversity of folk music to life, to the joy of all listeners in Lech Zürs am Arlberg.
On 26.07.2026 - 9:30 a.m. service at the parish church of Lech with musical accompaniment from the Trachtenkapelle Lech. Afterwards, the Frühschoppen continues at Rüfiplatz with the "Sunnseitn Tanzlmusi"

Look forward to an atmospheric afternoon and evening with live music and cozy get-togethers.
From 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the City Music Bludenz will provide musical entertainment. Afterwards, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Alpenbrass will play and bring the best atmosphere to the village.
Great food and drink will be provided.
