Seekopf, Mountain restaurant
Arlberg pioneering spirit – history meets innovation Welcome to the heart of the Ski Arlberg ski area, where pioneering spirit has been a tradition for decades! From the first ski races in the Alps to the construction of Austria's first T-bar lift and the world's first heated chairlifts, which went into operation in Lech and Schröcken in 2004 – this is where innovation meets alpine passion. In the middle of Austria's largest contiguous ski area and one of the five largest ski areas in the world, the Seekopf team warmly welcomes you, dear guest! Part of this history is the Seekopfbahn, which opened on December 23, 1957, as a double chairlift. Just two decades later, in 1978, a small snack bar was transformed into the now famous Seekopf mountain restaurant, which has been delighting generations of winter sports enthusiasts with delicious cuisine and magnificent panoramic views ever since.
