How does the wine get into Stäfeli?

In 1997 Heinz Birk turned his second great passion besides the hotel business into a profession and built up the wine trade Heinz Birk. From the very beginning, Stäfeli and Achtele have skilfully integrated wine into the Stäfelis business and now offer their guests great culinary delights, as Heinz Birk, as a wine merchant, naturally has the best wines in his cellar.
He supplies the hotel business and gastronomy of the Arlberg as well as other businesses in the area. Every year his wine travels take him to the Austrian wine-growing regions and from there he always brings great wines, news and specialities with him, which you can taste or buy.

Our tip – Wine Tasting in “Arlberg” Region
Annually, on the first Thursday in September, we organise a big wine tasting involving more than twenty wine growers and the best distilleries from across Austria. Meanwhile these wine tastings are so well-established that they draw every year numerous wine enthusiasts to the resort of Zug. The visitors are rewarded for having undertaken the journey, by the tasting of great wines, nice conversions with like-minded people and wine growers and a fabulous atmosphere.

We are happy to prepare tasty, traditional dishes with a modern touch for you.
