There is a Lech story behind the name of the bistro. Mila, short for Emilie, grew up in a farming family in the village. In 1928, she married the ski boot maker Ambros Strolz, who ran a small cobbler's workshop. The mother of four children ran a small guesthouse in the then up-and-coming winter sports resort of Lech and also catered for the shoemakers in her own business. Mila contributed a great deal to the success of the Strolz family. She is part of the “Lech soul”. The gifted chef was famous for her Kaiserschmarrn, among other things.
Today, traditional Austrian dishes remind guests of the past - true to the motto “Just like back then, when grandma spoiled you”.
