Gipfelwanderung auf den Formaletsch
The Formaletsch above the Formarin Alpe is a beautiful vantage peak in the Lechquellen Mountains. The hike takes us through the impressive mountain world around the Formarin Lake and offers fantastic views of the surrounding peaks time and time again.
We start near the Formarin Alpe and follow the mountain path towards Formaletsch. Already during the ascent, the landscape becomes increasingly alpine. The path leads over varied terrain up to the summit, with a total elevation gain of about 424 meters.
Upon reaching the top, we are greeted by an impressive panorama.
A special highlight of this hike is the possible encounters with chamois. The rocky mountain landscape around the Formaletsch provides a suitable habitat for these majestic animals. With a bit of luck, we may observe chamois along the way or near the summit - of course, from a sufficient distance and without disturbing the animals.
After an extended summit break with summit snack, we make our way back to the Formarin Alpe.
The guided summit hike to the Formaletsch is suitable for all those who want to experience a varied mountain tour with impressive views and the possibility of a very special wildlife observation.
