Kästle Mountain Museum

Since 1924, one hundred years ago, master wainwright Anton Kästle Sr. laid the foundation for the eventful history of a legendary ski brand that would be closely associated with the Arlberg over the years. The first Kästle skis made of ash wood were named after the so-called cradle of skiing and bore the name Arlberg Ski. It was only later, in the 1950s, that the name Kästle was to replace the registered ski brand ‘Arlberg’. Today, the company is celebrating its 100th anniversary and is looking to the future with great vigour. To honour and present the company's long history, the Kästle Mountain Museum was set up some time ago. No place would be better suited for this than the Lech-Zürs ski resort. The museum, which was redesigned to mark the 100th anniversary, is located in the Rüfikopf 2 mountain station.
