Flower Realm Rüfikopf – Path of a Thousand Colors

As tranquil as the sight of blooming alpine flowers may seem, we should not be fooled: the plants that thrive in these zones are among the most inventive, tenacious, resilient, persistent, and steadfast that the plant world has to offer. They withstand temperature fluctuations of up to 40 °C within a single day, brave freezing winds, endure meters of snow cover, and often have only tiny windows of opportunity to germinate, bloom, and bear fruit.

To accompany the individual stations along the BlütenReich trail, a special Alpine flower booklet is available for EUR 7 at the Rüfikopf panoramic restaurant, at the Rüfikopfbahn ticket office, and at Lech Zürs Tourism. This booklet is designed to give you an understanding of the elite group of flowers that have been able to thrive here on the calcareous, fertile soil of the Rüfikopf. The alpine flowers of the Rüfikopf deserve our respect and protection!

Please do not pick the flowers! Most of them are strictly protected by nature conservation laws! Please also stay on the nature trail to avoid damaging the plants.

Feel free to visit the Rüfikopf flower kingdom often during the summer season. Different alpine flowers bloom every time!
