Reading with Janin Wölke
‘Infinite Move’ - Poems
In an escalating exercise in perception, Janin Wölke reaches out to the world outside and asks: Where are the unspeakable dwellings of poetic care? Between the destroyed nature and the sad mind of the son, there are always images of intimacy and digression. Life is exchanged for lyrical material in the search to understand and forget nothing. The mother, the wife, the partner, the friend, the writer, the sister, between observation and contradiction, is the subject of the expanding order of the long poem in collages of pop songs, Disney, Edmund Husserl, Roland Barthes, children's language and Laurie Penny. And again and again the boy Kolja speaks, says, asks something and lives in the drama of a child that seems relentlessly familiar.
