  • 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.: Guided tour of the Huber Hus (Lech Museum) 
  • Meeting point: Huber Hus 
  • For early arrivals: Experience the history of Lech during a guided tour of the Lech Museum and gain insights into a fascinating special exhibition. The historic rooms can be explored individually or as part of a tour. 

 

Until 6 p.m.: Individual arrival

 

  • 6:00 p.m.: Registration & Welcome Evening 
  • Meeting point: Hotel Gasthof Post 
  • The traditional Hotel Gasthof Post invites you to the official Welcome Evening. After registration and receiving your welcome package (including name badge, pin and further surprises), you can raise your glass at the welcome aperitif. The evening continues with a festive welcome speech and the official opening of the 14th European Rotary Ski Week. A flying buffet with hand-picked regional and local specialties provides the culinary highlight of the evening. 

Sunday, January 25, 2026

  • 9:30 a.m.: Skiers’ meeting point 
  • Meeting point: Rüfiplatz Lech 
  • The first joint skiing day starts at Rüfiplatz in Lech, where all skiers gather with their complete skiing equipment. Participants will be divided into groups and hit the slopes together.  

 

  • 10:00 a.m. – approx. 3:00 p.m.: Cross-country skiing into the Zug Valley 
  • Meeting point: Strolz Ski Rental Filomena (Kaufhaus Filomena) 
  • Participants meet at the supermarket Filomena (Spar), for a cross-country tour into the idyllic Zug Valley. Accompanied by a guide, the route leads through a stunning winter landscape and concludes with a stop at the cozy “Älpele”. This is a guided experience (not a lesson), so basic experience on classic or skating cross-country skis is required.

  • The exhibition at Kunstraum Zug offers insights into contemporary art and provides space for inspiration and exchange. An opportunity to experience culture up close and broaden your horizons beyond the ski slopes.

  • 4:00 p.m.: Rotary Get-together 
  • Meeting point: Hotel Gasthof Post 
  • Every day during Rotary Ski Week, an inspiring talk by a Rotarian will take place at Hotel Gasthof Post with tea, coffee, and cake. The detailed program with speakers and topics will be published soon.

  • Every day at 09:30, Rotarians meet at Rüfiplatz to explore Austria’s largest ski resort together with local Rotarians. 

 

  • 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.: Guided tour of the Kästle Mountain Museum 
  • Meeting point: Rüfikopf, Kästle Museum 
  • Discover the fascinating history of skiing at 2,350 m at the Kästle Museum. Explore historic skis, legendary athletes, and the exciting stories behind this iconic brand.

  • 4:00 p.m.: Rotary Get-together 
  • Meeting point: Hotel Gasthof Post 
  • Every day during Rotary Ski Week, an inspiring talk by a Rotarian will take place at Hotel Gasthof Post with tea, coffee, and cake. The detailed program with speakers and topics will be published soon. 

 

  • 5:00 p.m.: Skyspace Tour (German) – sunset at approx. 5:15 p.m. 
  • Meeting point: Skyspace Lech 
  • Experience the “Skyspace-Lech” by American artist James Turrell at sunset and be impressed by the special atmosphere created by the light. To ensure you don’t miss the guided tour and light show, please arrive at Skyspace at 5:00 p.m. sharp. The tour will be held in German (English tour on Tuesday).

  • 9:30 a.m.: VIP skiing with a ski star 
  • Meeting point: Rüfiplatz 
  • A special highlight awaits you on Tuesday - Ski the legendary ‘White Ring’ course together with a ski star.

  • 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Snowshoe hike 
  • Meeting point: Dorfhus 
  • Discover the beautiful landscape of Lech Zürs on a guided snowshoe hike. Enjoy quiet trails, clear mountain air, and unforgettable moments in nature. Note: Basic fitness required, as well as sturdy, waterproof winter shoes and winter clothing suitable for the weather.

  • Experience the “Skyspace-Lech” by American artist James Turrell at sunset and be impressed by the special atmosphere created by the light. To ensure you don’t miss the guided tour and light show, please arrive at Skyspace at 5:00 p.m. sharp. The tour will be held in English (A German tour takes place on Monday).

  • from 6:30 p.m.: Dinner & Benefit Jazz Concert 
  • Meeting point: Scotch Club / Hotel Kristberg 
  • A special evening full of enjoyment and music awaits you on Tuesday. The evening begins with an à la carte dinner in the elegant setting of the Scotch Club at the Hotel Kristberg. Then, the Rotarian Jazz Fellowship Austria, led by Wolfgang Schneider, will bring the sounds of jazz to Lech Zürs with their swinging rhythms and virtuoso improvisations. Cuisine and culture come together to create an experience that embodies friendship, the joy of life, and social commitment—entirely in keeping with the Rotary spirit. The proceeds from the evening will go to a good cause.

  • 7:30 a.m.: Early-bird skiing ‘Langer Zug’ 
  • Meeting point: Rüfikopf Bottom Station (Rüfiplatz) 
  • As the mountain peaks glow in the soft light of dawn, a tingling sense of anticipation fills the air. You are among the very first to conquer the “Langer Zug” – one of the steepest groomed slopes in the world, with an 80% gradient. After this extraordinary descent, a Veuve Clicquot breakfast awaits you at the Schlegelkopf Restaurant.

  • 2:00 p.m.: Tour Anger Garage & Oberlech Tunnel System 
  • Meeting point: Dorfhus 
  • Embark on an exciting journey beneath the surface of Lech and Oberlech! This exclusive tour introduces you to the visionary tunnel system and the underground access route to Oberlech. Learn how a bold idea became a pioneering Austrian project with 3.5 km of state-of-the-art infrastructure and sustainable mobility.

  • Meeting point: Rüfiplatz 
  • Starting from Rüfiplatz, we begin the torchlight hike to Rudalpe. At the traditional fondue evening, the Rud-Alpe in Lech invites guests to enjoy hearty specialties. Whether the classic cheese or meat fondue – the cozy atmosphere of the alpine lodge creates the perfect setting for enjoyment and convivial gatherings. 
  • Note: Warm, waterproof footwear recommended. 

Thursday, January 29, 2026

  • 7:45 a.m.: Early-bird skiing Zürser Täli 
  • Meeting point: Seekopf Talstation, Zürs 
    Carve smooth turns from the Muggengrat down into Zürser Täli. For a moment, it feels as though this breathtaking slope has been prepared just for you. A brief pause offers time to take in the magnificent panorama, while listening to fascinating insights from an expert of the local lift company. The morning concludes with a hearty breakfast at the Seekopf Mountain Restaurant.

  • 2:00 p.m.: Behind-the-scenes tour Trittkopfbahn 
  • Meeting point: Trittkopf Talstation, Zürs 
  • Gain an exclusive look behind the scenes of a cable car station in full operation. Under expert guidance from the operations manager, participants will learn about the technology, safety, and daily processes that keep the system running smoothly.

  • 4:00 p.m.: Rotary Night Ski Race  
  • Meeting point: Flexenarena, Zürs 
  • One of the sporting highlights of the Rotary Ski Week is the Rotary Ski Race in the Flexenarena in Zürs. Participants experience a World Cup atmosphere under impressive floodlights on one of the most modern ski slopes in the Arlberg region. 
  • However, speed is not the only thing that counts in this race. It is a "equality race," meaning those who finish the two rounds with the closest times have the best chance of winning. This means the focus is on fairness, precision, and fun, not just sporting ambition. 
  • In addition to the individual classification, there is also a team classification, where the Rotary community spirit really shines. Refreshments in the finish area create the perfect atmosphere where guests can watch the exciting races and enjoy the evening in good company.

  • The festive conclusion of the Rotary Ski Week is the Gala Evening at the Lechwelten. In the spirit of Lech as a “World Gourmet Village,” you will be treated to a high-quality fine-dining menu. Drinks are included in the price. 
  • A special highlight of the evening is the award ceremony of the Rotarian Ski Race, where the best individual and team performances will be honored. In addition, a charity raffle will add excitement and joy — in true Rotary spirit, as all proceeds will go to a good cause.
