The ceiling opening of the Skyspace-Lech can be covered with a movable dome. This movable dome, unique in the world, makes it possible to show two artistic concepts of the artist:

The Skyspace concept, a light installation that, when dusk falls with the dome open, bathes the walls and ceiling in color-changing light, so that the previously clearly perceived spatial structure seems to dissolve.

As well as a second lighting program that visualizes a full-field effect in the dome area. This program is shown when the dome remains closed due to weather conditions.

During the day, when the dome is open, the light art cannot be seen due to the brightness. However, the changing moods of the sky can be observed in conjunction with the wandering cone of sunlight.
