‘OAME SÖÖ’



The collaboration between actress Ursula Strauss and songwriter and poet Ernst Molden has now lasted 10 years: The two have twice co-opened the Vienna Festival Weeks together on Rathausplatz and played numerous concerts across Austria.


In recent years, the Viennese songwriter, author and dramaturge Ernst Molden has written numerous new songs for Ursula Strauss and himself. After the album ‘Wüdnis’ and the accompanying tour, ‘Oame söö’ (= ‘Poor Soul’) now follows.


The new songs, reduced to two voices and electric guitar, delve into the world of legends and myths and tell of King Laurin's rose garden, the dangerous basilisk in Vienna and water sprites that can lurk in any fire pond. The popular actress and singer and the song poet can be seen with their current programme on Saturday, 22 June 2024 at 8 pm as part of the opening of Lechwelten in Lech Zürs am Arlberg.
