In 2023, the glass and chandelier manufactory Lobmeyr from Vienna celebrates its 200th anniversary. As a k.u.k. purveyor to the Habsburg Court, Lobmeyr became the most important protagonist of Austro-Bohemian glass production soon after its foundation and presented itself at the first world exhibitions. During the 20th century, Lobmeyr designed and built countless prestigious chandeliers, e.g. for the New York Metropolitan Opera or the Vienna State Opera.
Together with the most renowned architects and leading designers, Lobmeyr continues to develop delicate drinking glass services made of the finest muslin glass and, as a family business, still follows the principle "Innovation by Tradition since 1823".
