When Advent invites to tranquility and the winter landscape around Lech finds peace, a special time begins: a time for familiar melodies, for gentle nuances, and for pausing.
Last year, the Wiltener Holzbläser and the Tyrolean chamber choir NovoCanto delighted the audience in the Lechwelten. Together with ORF moderator and folk music expert Peter Kostner, a magical Advent evening was created that connected tradition and the present in a subtle way. This year, Peter Kostner invites a young folk music group from the region as surprise guests and explores the customs and rituals that have accompanied the Christmas season since time immemorial.
Pastoral sounds of the Wiltener Holzbläser meet heartfelt and festive songs from NovoCanto. Familiar melodies encounter new tonal colors, alpine tradition blends with sophisticated choral music. Thus, the Lechwelten transform for one evening into a “hoamelige” parlor – a place of listening, remembering, and shared experience.
A Christmas concert without kitsch, but with plenty of atmosphere: authentic, atmospheric, and driven by a passion for the unadulterated.
