Rossignol Junior Camp

Sat, 02.02.2019 - Sun, 03.02.2019
Location: ca. 9.00 am at the Rüfiplatz

Great runs combined with a risk-aware experience - The Junior Camps are the entry into the world of freeriding. The Pro Team with Matthias "Hauni" Haunholder, Chris Schnabel and many others will teach the rookies the basics for a safe time on two days. From the avalanche situation report about the correct handling of the avalanche transceiver and other safety equipment, as well as the appropriate behaviour in the terrain, all important points are dealt with. So powder slopes, cliffs and natural kickers are fun... and riding tips are included.

Requirements: 15-18 years old and sufficient off-piste riding skills for all snow conditions.

Meeting point is on both days at 09:00 a. m. at our tent at the valley station Schlegelkopf. There the participants get their rental equipment, are taken over by the coaches and start into the day. After the equipment check the avalanche report of the day will be studied and discussed together. Afterwards you will go up to the mountain, where you will interactively discuss the basics for a safe off-piste experience. The whole day takes place on skis or snowboard. In the Junior Camps, each theoretical point is connected with a handle. Each coach has a maximum of 8 participants in his or her group and can therefore respond perfectly to the participants. At about 16:00 we leave the day at the valley station and dismiss the participants until the next day.
