Audi FIS Ski Worldcup Lech Zürs

13th and 14th of November 2021

Lech Zürs gets ready for the Audi FIS Ski Worldcup Lech Zürs on November 13 and 14, 2021 - this year for the first time with an audience

After the successful return of the Ski World Cup to the cradle of alpine skiing, Lech Zürs will enter the second round as the venue for two parallel events on November 13 and 14, 2021. Preparations are going according to plan and the public is also admitted this year. Online ticket sales will thus start on October 1, 2021.

After 26 years, alpine ski world cup races will be held in Vorarlberg again. Last year, Petra Vlhová (SVK) and Alexis Pinturault (FRA) each won the parallel races. Women's giant slalom, on Saturday, Nov. 13, and men's giant slalom, on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021, will again be the only parallel competition on the 2021/22 FIS calendar.

Information about the World Cup course:

- Start: 1,820 m / Destination: 1,718 m / Altitude difference: 102 m

- Length of course: 365 m

- Slope Average. 29 % / Maximim: 50 % / Minimum: 4 %

This year with audience on site and again with live broadcasts all over the world

Last year, the World Cup races had to take place without an audience due to corona conditions - this will be different this year: Online ticket sales start on October 1. A maximum of 3000 spectators is allowed, 500 of which are VIP tickets. However, a supporting program such as autograph sessions or World Cup parties will still have to be dispensed with. Furthermore, ticket sales will take place – however exclusively online, there will be no possibility to purchase tickets on site.

The legally required 3G checks will already take place at the parking lots in Lech, Rauz and Stuben, while from there you can continue to Zürs with specially organized shuttles. Arrivals can only be made via the L198, as the Lech-Warth connection will already be closed at this time. In general, the safety concept of the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV), which has been developed especially for the races, and the official measures and rules on the part of the federal government must be observed. These cannot yet be predicted today, but can be read online at www.lechzuers.com/fis-ski-weltcup/ in regular updates.

Saturday, November 13th, 5:00 PM: Live broadcast - Ladie's Parallel Event

Sunday, November 14th, 4:00 PM: Live broadcast - Men's Parallel Event
