The 6th Special Olympics National Winter Games will take place in Carinthia from 22 to 28 January 2020. In order to prepare for the Games, the Skihotel Arlberghaus invited 23 Special Olympics winter athletes and coaches to a multi-day training camp in Zürs am Arlberg. From 15 to 18 December 2019, the athletes trained intensively, whether on the piste, the cross-country ski run or in the fitness studio.

We are delighted to be invited by the Arlberghaus. The training camps on the Arlberg in Lech and Zürs have a long tradition and every year we find the best piste conditions for our athletes

Beatrice Amann, Managing Director of Special Olympics Austria – Fachverband Vorarlberg, also reviews the training camp of the past days very positively. The various athletes, aged between 10 and 40+ years, had a lot of fun training under the good conditions in the alpine skiing and Nordic areas. Everyone is already very motivated and is looking forward to the National Winter Games of the Special Olympics in Villach.

We admire the athletes of Special Olympics Vorarlberg and hope to be able to make a small contribution to the sporting success
