Further security measures

Regulations from 01st of July on for restaurants, hotels and leisure facilities

  • When a mask is prescribed you don't need a FFP2 mask anymore, a normal mask (mouth-nose-protection) is sufficient
  • For guests the 3-G detection (vaccinated, tested, or recoverd) inside and outside (from 12 years on) is nessecary
  • There is no minimum distance between households
  • There are no exit restrictions (curfew) anymore
  • There is no mask requirement for guests and employees in restaurants anymore
  • Guest registration in restaurants inside and outside from a stay of 15 minutes  is nessecary
  • There is no minimum spacing between tables/visitors groups in restaurants anymore
  • Dance halls, discotheques, clubs may admit a maximum of 75 % of the person capacity


Night gastronomy

  • As of July 22, the 2-G rule applies: guests must show proof of vaccination or a valid negative test result
  • Only PCR tests (max. 72 hours from sample collection) are valid as test proof.
  • Confirmation of having contracted COVID-19 is no longer acceptable for entry.
  • The nationwide registration obligation for guests remains in place - this also applies to events.



  • FFP2-mask obligation for unvaccinated persons in trade (random checks by authorities).
  • Recommendation of FFP2 masks for everyone in stores.
  • FFP2-mask obligation in food retailers (incl. bakeries), pharmacies, banks and post offices.
