The farmers have written the paths into the landscape with their feet "(Bernhard Kathan) and have thus laid the foundation for an extensive network of alpine paths. It goes without saying for us today, just as walking has become the most popular triviality for us.Visit the website
The name refers to the "commonwealth", i. e. to the common possession, both physical and spiritual, of the knowledge communities, on a local and global scale. Common ground (s) is the English equivalent of this term, which is currently experiencing a great renaissance.
Non-formal encounters, dialogue, constructive reflection, interdisciplinary research and aesthetic experience should lead to knowledge gain, knowledge transfer and ultimately to the creation of one's own living space.

The current Walser Museum Lech-Tannberg was founded in 1984. The museum is sponsored and initiated by Lech-Tannberg, the association for the preservation of the museum's heritage, which has since collected a rich collection of objects on the history of Tannberg. The show collection unites everyday and curious, presenting familiar and forgotten things. In addition to dairy farming, skiing and sacred folk art, there are also numerous exhibits from crafts, livestock farming, home decorating and textile production to discover.

The Arlberg and Lech have always been considered the cradle of skiing. And rightly so: it is now almost 90 years since ski pioneer Anton Kästle came up with the brilliant idea of creating the first skis from ash wood, which later led to the Kästle brand. The eventful history surrounding the legendary "Arlberg Ski" can be found in the Kästle Mountain Museum at the Rüfikopfbahn mountain station.
The year 1924: Skiing is still in its infancy, even on the Arlberg, winter tourism and ski lifts exist only in the minds of some visionaries. One of them is Anton Kästle. It was he who was the first to have the idea of producing skis from full ash. Only five years later, he started producing his first small series. At the end of the 1930s he finally introduced a ski that would make history: the "Arlberg Ski".
The historical picture material, ski models from past days and many other exhibits from the history of the successful Austrian ski brand inspire young and old alike: Starting with Toni Sailer's three gold medals at the 1952 Olympic Winter Games, over the overall World Cup victory of Pirmin Zurbriggen at the end of the 1980s to the successes of Anita Wachter and Kjetil André Aamodt at the end of the 1980s.
The exhibition is open free of charge to all interested parties during the opening hours of the Rüfikopfbahn.Further Information
