That is the creed which Lech Zürs am Arlberg has devoted itself to in a gastronomic context. During the winter season, gourmets are pampered and have the opportunity to taste delicacies in a class of their own. "You cannot escape the fact that there are more and more guests who appreciate Lech and Zürs not only for the pistes, but also for the outstanding restaurants," says Karl Hohenlohe, publisher of the Austrian edition of the Gault Millau restaurant guide.
But even during the summer months, when the snow is only just noticeable on the peaks and the alpine meadows around Lech are covered in flowers, Michelin stars,
Falstaff forks and Gault Millau toques don't take a summer break.
Löffelweise - enjoy every spoonful
The LöffelWeise (literally "by the spoonful") series of events, which is now in its
sixth season, guarantees imaginative and aesthetic dishes that work in perfect
harmony with selected wines. The original idea of the initators of LöffelWeise was
to create a platform which would enable chefs working in the region's restaurants to exchange culinary ideas amongst themselves as well as with international guest chefs. Now the gourmet series has grown into something more than the originally intended transfer of knowledge and brings together sommeliers, vintners and consultants from all over the world in convivial surroundings. Food connoisseurs will delight in the wealth of opportunities these themed evenings provide to pamper their taste buds!
