The only thing missing from Lech Zürs am Arlberg to make it the perfect summer destination for mountain holidaymakers in every respect, was a golf course. The time has now come: after two years of construction, one of the most beautiful and highest golf courses in the Alpine region is due to open on 24 June 2016.

A 19-hectare, handicap 9-hole golf course that both beginners and professionals can enjoy – this is the new attraction that will be open to all friends of the sport in Lech Zürs from June 2016. Located at 1,500 metres above sea level and set amidst magnificent mountain scenery, it is an ideal place to take on the sporting challenge. The golf school at Hotel Berghof in Lech features a 3x3-hole practice course, a covered driving range with nine tees and a pitching and putting green with sand bunker – ideal conditions to improve your short game or get your golf licence. Golf Pro Manuel Trappel Ambassador for Lech Zürs am Arlberg
The Vorarlberg golf professional Manuel Trappel is becoming an ambassador for Lech Zürs am Arlberg. The list of triumphs of this young man from Vorarlberg is long: 10th in the Swiss Challenge Tour 2014, Golfer of the Year 2011, European Champion 2011 – to name but a few. This means that another outstanding young elite sportsperson from the region is now supporting Lech Zürs tourism alongside skier Nina Ortlieb, World Cup-winning freerider Lorraine Huber and mountain runner Sabine Reiner. 25-year-old Manuel Trappel is now acting as a golf ambassador for the renowned resort in the field of golf.
